Organizational change refers to the process of modifying or transforming an
organization’s structure or system. The ability to adapt to change is a fundamental competency
that can be used to improve almost any area of an organization’s effectiveness. Organizational
change is critical in this highly dynamic environment because the concept of change is the most
constant thing in business today. It is defined as a changing business and is taking steps to
improve its current capabilities (Stobierski, 2020). Organizational transformation is critical
because managers must keep committing and delivering in the present while also considering
future changes. Currently, I work as a team leader at a production company, and I believe my
role as a leader will be significant in implementing change within our organization.
Dynamic nature of organizational change
Over time, organizational change has become a necessary component of doing business.
Economic crises, greater high competition, enhanced manufacturing technology, and the drastic
growth in emerging markets all necessitate the development of new capabilities for businesses
that want to thrive in the dynamic business environment. Change should be managed, and the
process of incorporating changes in businesses and organizations is currently becoming a new
management strategy. New strategies are adopted for making changes in the organization, and
complete systems are built. Managers plan changes to increase the flexibility of their businesses
by evaluating external trends, market leaders, and technological demands. They also improve
their ability to adjust to the outside world’s demands and take advantage of opportunities.
Market upheavals, new technical breakthroughs, competitor actions, and variations in
customer preferences are all examples of external influences that force firms to change. Internal
routines, those recognized, recurring patterns of interdependent activity that control work

processes, are at the basis of any change and improvement. Therefore, leaders should pay
attention to how their organization chooses which strategies to change and then decide which
other options to take. This will help them make positive, successful changes.
