At a recent professional development conference, she met Martha, a more experienced psychologist at another agency nearby, who – after listening to Martha’s woes- offered some timely advice for a case Mary was working on. Over time, Mary has begun to confide in Martha and often seeks her advice in handling difficult or emotionally draining cases. Their friendship has grown, and Martha sometimes counsels Mary on personal matters as well.
