According to the textbook, resilient children are those who succeed in the face of adversity. Resilience is a term that describes a group of phenomena characterized by patterns of positive adaptation in the face of substantial adversity or danger, and it can be described as “bouncing back” (Lopez, Pedrotti, & Snyder, 2018). With that being said, I prospectively believe the internal adaptation is of significant importance for any child’s development to have a good outcome. For instance, you are experiencing positive feelings in your daily aids in developing ego tolerance and a more proactive response to mild to moderate stressors. Growing your ego resilience will help you reach higher levels of life satisfaction in the end.

Positive emotion is important, I believe that when you think positive you can be positive inside and out. What I mean by that is if I am mentally thinking in a positive way then I can physically and emotionally be positive. Our book talked about being emotionally positive can help impact that types of decision you will make. I think this is so true, if I am in a positive state of mind then I can make better choices then if I am being negative, my decision-making might have a bad effect. Our book also said that if we are positive emotionally it could be easy to make good changes in our life. So how can resilience and positive emotions interconnect, I think this is because being resilience is overcoming hardship in your life, and being positive can help you make a positive change. If you had a rough childhood or going through some difficult life issue and you overcome them and made it through then that makes you resilience being positive emotionally, and mentally can make a world of difference in your life then if you were in a negative mindset.
